Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering required
One to two years related experience and/or training
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Knowledge of Word Processing software

Responsibilities
Assists Business Units with introduction of new/re-engineered products
Establishes procedures, instructions, and training to support new metal products
Ensures all new/re-engineered processes are “manufacturing ready”
Assists in establishing and implementing quality specifications, testing, etc. for metals components, supplier components, subassemblies, and finished goods
Assists in the resolution of daily production and quality issues
Interacts with Business Units and/or customers, as required, to identify process/product improvements and to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction
Optimizes and continuously improves metals operations by identifying and implementing quality and productivity improvements for products
Identifies improvements to ensure continued compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations as well as UL, FDA, and ISO 9002 requirements
