About The Position
The Metallurgical Engineering Co-op will be responsible for various short/long term projects to gather and analyze data required for efficient design/processing of forgings for seamless rolled rings and open and closed die forgings.
Requirements
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with PC programs, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a cross-functional environment
- Actively enrolled in a four-year engineering degree program with second-year standing or higher
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an introductory materials course
- Experience working with and researching on metal alloys
Responsibilities
- Participate as a multidisciplinary engineering team member
- Assist with the design, development, integration, and testing of projects
- Collect, organize, analyze, and document data, specifications, and spreadsheets
- Participate in the quality assurance and quality control process of projects
- Provide technical support to the assigned team or department
- Complete a cost improvement project
- Comply with PCC Code of Conduct requirements
