About The Position

The Metallurgical Engineering Intern will partner closely with the Processing & Metallurgy team to engineer projects for our Nevada Projects portfolio. This is a project-based internship. Rather than generalized administrative tasks, you will be assigned a core technical project to own from start to finish. This role offers hands-on experience, culminating in an end-of-program presentation to technical leadership.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or final-year Master's or PhD student pursuing a degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related process discipline.
• Foundational understanding of metallurgical testwork programs, mineral processing, and scale ‑ up principles.
• Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.
• A collaborative mindset with an eagerness to learn and proactively ask questions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license required; willingness to travel to project sites if necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with or strong interest in gold processing flowsheets (e.g., flotation, oxidation, heap leaching) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, managing timelines, and delivering a final technical report and presentation.
• Learn to review engineering deliverables, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Assist the team in technical studies to support process selection.
• Support the design, execution, and data analysis of metallurgical programs alongside the engineering team.
