About The Position

This role involves cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components to construct various structures and products for commercial roofing systems, according to blueprints and job specifications. The fabricator will review job files, inspect and maintain tools and equipment, and ensure finished products meet quality standards. The position also supports the training of new team members and performs additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications accurately.
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must be able to work outside in all elements (heat, cold, rain)
• Repetitive bending, squatting, twisting, and stopping
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Operating heavy equipment is required regularly.
• Perform work in a fast-paced environment with precise production standards.
• Repetitive finger/hand/forearm motion necessary for fabricating metal used in the production of a commercial roof.
• May be required to climb ladders for accessing a roof while on a quality inspection or during installation.
• Exposure to heights when accessing a roof.
• Must be able to wear a full body harness when necessary for fall protection.
• Must be able to wear a respirator when necessary due to the environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with computerized sheet metal folder, preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in fabrication and machine operation, preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred
• position may require lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Repetitive bending, squatting, twisting, and stopping with infrequent lifting up to 120 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to construct various structures and products according to blueprints and job specifications, for commercial roofing systems.
• Review job files to ensure all project-specific details are followed accurately.
• Regularly inspect tools, equipment, and machinery; perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Carry out basic repairs and upkeep on fabrication tools and equipment.
• Verify that all finished products meet established quality standards and project requirements.
• Support the training and onboarding of new team members in sheet metal fabrication processes for commercial roofing applications.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
