About The Position

Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small-quantity metals, is looking for a Metal Production Specialist. This is not a "general labor" role. We are looking for a technical specialist who can balance the precision of a fabricator with the efficiency of a logistics pro. You will be the engine of our shop—processing custom orders, managing high-value inventory, and ensuring our B2B clients get exactly what they need, exactly when they need it.

Requirements

Prior experience with power tools, fabrication, or industrial machinery is required.
Mastery of precision measuring (tape measures to the 1/16th, squares, decimals, and fractions).
Ability to remain active in a fast-paced warehouse environment and lift up to 60 lbs unassisted.
Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with B2B clients and coordinate effectively with the sales team.
A clean driving record and a valid Louisiana Class D license are mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate industrial equipment—including Hydraulic Shears, Band Saws, and Mag Drills —to process orders to exact customer tolerances.
Manage the full order lifecycle: from picking and cutting to staging and shipping.
Safely operate the company’s 21' flatbed delivery truck for regional client fulfillment (Class D License mandatory).
Oversee warehouse stock control, receiving new material, and maintaining a high-standard, "shop-ready" floor for customer tours.
Assist customers with material selection, providing expert guidance on metal types and processing capabilities.
Maintain a zero-compromise safety culture while operating forklifts and heavy machinery.
