This is a trade not typically taught in schools, and Nico Products offers comprehensive training, including hands-on experience and online coursework covering plating processes, metals, and chemical properties. Requirements

  • Reliable attendance and strong work habits
  • 0-2 years plating or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to follow directions, and work safely
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic math and measuring skills
  • Comfort with tools like rulers/tape measures and digital systems (computers/tablets)
  • Teamwork and cooperative mindset
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • U.S. work authorization
  • MUST be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Adherence to strict security policies, including restrictions on personal electronic devices, access control, and documentation procedures.
  • Compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plating operations per specifications and quality standards
  • Set up, monitor, and control plating lines and chemical baths
  • Process parts for required durations per shop paperwork
  • Inspect parts for thickness, defects, and quality compliance
  • Verify correct racking prior to plating
  • Operate and assist with plating tanks and rinse systems
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE
  • Identify and report process or equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work independently while meeting production goals
