This role requires experienced working knowledge of Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) installation and assembly, including understanding terminologies, blueprint reading, measurements, take-offs, and job specifications to build an integrally complete erection system.

Requirements

  • Basic math and language skills are required.
  • Grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, and cutting sheet metal.
  • 1 Year related experience or training.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years’ experience in Insulated Metal Panels (IMP).
  • Some vocational technical training is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Fluent in understanding job specifications, blueprint reading, target point measurements, true/plumb/square checking, and any necessary torque requirements for large industrial structural steel systems.
  • Ability to cut, prep, fit, and tack small to large IMPs, flashing, etc., from various material types, ensuring true-plumb-square alignment into weld-ready status, using isometric and structural drawings, while adhering to specific fit tolerance requirements.
  • Properly select, measure, hand dress, and cut with grinder, power saws, hand tools, etc., as necessary to prepare IMP processes to be completed per job-specific requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong structural aptitude and problem-solving skills to understand and follow instructions.
  • Accountability for completion of daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations.
  • Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts, adhering to industry-standard practices of safe rigging systems and techniques.
  • Safely and efficiently direct and monitor two or more helpers.
  • Document all quality reporting methods employed per SEA Quality Standards.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements and be physically/medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHA standards.
  • Responsibilities may include sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review.
  • Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
