About The Position

This position involves setting up and fitting detailed parts for aircraft, aerospace, and similar assemblies. The role requires performing hand grinding, expanding, and hand fitting to blueprint dimensions for heliarc tacking, welding, and/or resistance welding. The Metal Fitter Tacker C will work under general supervision and perform various job duties, including aligning machined details or stampings before welding, trimming, scribing, filing, or grinding parts to templates or scribed lines, setting up single jobs in assembly jigs for welding, assisting higher-classified workers, and performing rework, repair, and associated operations. The role also requires maintaining a minimum output of 65% and a minimum product quality acceptance of 90%, while adhering to all Senior policies and procedures. Additionally, the Metal Fitter Tacker C is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area, using safety standards and expectations, and adhering to all quality practices. Requirements

• High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 3- 6 months of related and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform a variety of job duties under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs such typical operations as aligning machined details or stampings preparatory to welding operations.
• Trims, scribes, files or grinds parts to templates or scribed lines.
• Sets up single jobs in assembly jig for welding.
• Assists higher classified workers as required.
• Performs rework, repair and other associated operations relating to the work described.
• Maintain minimum output of 65%.
• Maintain minimum product quality acceptance of 90%.
• Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations while adhering to all quality practices.
