About The Position

Pure Fishing is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Metal Finishing Technician to join our industry-leading manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality, corrosion-resistant finishes that meet our exacting standards. The technician will oversee and perform manual anodizing processes on aluminum components, guiding them through various cleaning, etching, rinsing, and sealing baths. This role requires monitoring process parameters, applying dyes, understanding chemical compositions, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The technician will also lead and train coworkers, support efficient production, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. This position reports to a Lead and/or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to follow directives and work independently.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid basic mathematical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production planning for anodizing operations to ensure on-time delivery of components.
  • Rack components on holding fixtures and manually move them through process tanks.
  • Monitor product quality and make necessary process adjustments to meet specifications.
  • Conduct testing to monitor bath conditions, maintaining proper fluid levels and chemical concentrations per standard procedures.
  • Document all testing results and adjust processes to achieve required tank parameters.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or improvements.
  • Monitor, test, and document all bath testing results.
  • Rack and un-rack component parts for processing.
  • Manually move racks through process tanks while closely monitoring timing.
  • Prepare new baths or replenish chemicals as needed to maintain proper conditions.
  • Monitor anodized surface finish and coating thickness to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support efficient operations through effective coworker communication and scheduling.
  • Train new coworkers on processes and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve process and quality issues, keeping the supervisor informed.
  • Support and execute daily work aligned with team goals and production schedules.
  • Monitor quality and performance metrics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Utilize SAP Business System to receive and issue materials and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the manager
