About The Position

SWD Inc. is a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, with over 250 employees operating in a 250,000 sq. ft. facility. We are seeking a full-time, entry-level Metal Finishing Machine Operator for our 3rd Shift. This is a physically demanding role involving hard labor, compensated accordingly. The hours are Monday-Friday, 11 pm-7 am, with overtime on weekends as needed. New employees will receive performance evaluations and potential raises at 60 days, 6 months, 12 months, and annually thereafter. SWD is a Drug-Free workplace, and all job offers are contingent on successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Pre-Employment Physical.

Requirements

• Entry Level Machine Operator position (training provided!)
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• You must be available to work weekends

Nice To Haves

• GED or High School Diploma (preferred not required)
• Manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist foreman with delegated duties
• Load jobs into the barrels as required
• Assist in loading and unloading of metal parts
• Review of shop orders
• Drive a lift truck
• Knowledge of proper safety policies and procedures
• Assist maintenance department technician in troubleshooting line problems
