Metal Finishing Line Operator Lead - Etch

The Metal Finishing Line Operator Lead will focus on increased efficiency of the line while overseeing and providing guidance to other line operators. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- PC literate with at least a basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Advance arithmetic skills (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Individual must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- This position requires access to ITAR-controlled information and materials. The successful candidate must meet all ITAR eligibility requirements, including being a U.S. person as defined by ITAR.
Nice To Haves
- Previous leadership experience in a production environment, racking, or chemical processing experience is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
- Adapt to frequent changes in a highly variable and challenging work environment.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-starting individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit effective prioritization skills while upholding accuracy and consistency under pressure and/or short deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop workload schedules with consideration to production demands and on-time delivery requirements.
- Delegate various duties among team members with clearly defined instructions.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping rules to create a safe working environment.
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Assist in training and provide guidance to other operators as needed.
- Adhere to all applicable safety practices while working with and around hazardous chemicals.
- Use basic geometry to calculate surface areas of various parts.
- Cross functionally support other lines or work areas as needed and complete other tasks as assigned.
- Support company objectives related to effective communication and accurate turnaround.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, periodic testing, and performance evaluations.
