About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring an experienced Metal Finisher/Grinder for a swing-shift role in North Salt Lake City, Utah. The position pays $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, in 10-hour shifts, resulting in a three-day weekend every week. The employee will assist machine operators, welders, and technicians with daily production tasks. Duties may include measuring, cutting, or fitting parts under supervision; basic assembly, grinding, sanding, and finishing; and organizing or restocking materials, tools, and supplies. The role also involves disposing of scrap materials and helping maintain a clean, safe, efficient workplace. Forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand tools may be used if the employee is certified or trained. Metal finishing and grinding experience is required, and applicants must provide a resume. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, lift more than 50 pounds, perform physically demanding work, and reliably work the stated Monday-through-Thursday schedule. Only resumes showing metal finishing experience will be considered.
