About The Position
The Metal Fabricator II plays a critical role in the manufacturing and construction process by transforming raw metal materials into precise components and structures according to detailed specifications. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience operating metal fabrication tools and machinery safely.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication (e.g., AWS certification).
- Experience with CNC machinery and programming.
- Familiarity with various metal types and their properties.
- Ability to perform basic welding and assembly tasks.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
- Perform quality inspections on fabricated parts to ensure compliance with dimensional and structural standards.
- Maintain and operate fabrication equipment safely, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute fabrication projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and deadlines.
