About The Position

The Metal Blender/Sander smooths, polishes, or sands metal components using handheld sanding equipment. This position works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The work is primarily performed standing for up to six or more hours per day, with some duties requiring brief periods of sitting. The position requires lifting 0–50 pounds using proper ergonomic positioning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding and use of power tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for up to six or more hours per day, sit for short periods, and lift 0–50 pounds using proper ergonomic positioning.

Responsibilities

• Deburr metal components to meet quality specifications.
• Perform self-inspections to ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Examine work pieces for defects and report any findings to the team leader.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance on occasion.
• Wear personal protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
