About The Position

As a Meta Events National Operations Manager, you are focused on the successful execution of industry-leading events, partnering closely with our Meta client. You will lead the project management of events that provide best-in-class experiences to event attendees through immersive, hands-on demos of our client's AR & VR products. These events can be trade shows, campus events, or product launch announcements. Daily responsibilities include project management on event specific needs, event intake, budget management and working cross functionally with our clients’ partners and internal BDS teams. The ideal candidate would excel in project ownership, organization, client management and exhibit advanced emotional intelligence and have a well-developed executive presence. You are required to work in the Meta office 3 days a week. Up to 10% travel is required to attend events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of retail sales management experience required
  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience in retail sales required
  • 1+ year of leading a field team
  • Demonstrated strength in teaching/coaching techniques positively influences and empowers others
  • Experience in client management and working effectively with key stakeholders
  • Robust interpersonal communication, soft skills, written, verbal, and on-camera
  • Ability to build and foster business relationships at multiple levels and independently, both internally and client-facing
  • Ability to show patience and tact and remain calm under pressure
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation with a continued drive to learn
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in utilizing Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and a strong user of Excel and data programs
  • Ability to practice good judgment in analyzing information, strategic/critical thinking, and decision-making, with minimal direction
  • Demonstrates high emotional intelligence and refined executive presence
  • Flexible availability with the ability to work weekends, as needed

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end project management of each event request/task from our client
  • Coordination across other BDS teams & Talent Acquisition to align appropriate staffing via proposal and quote creation based on event requirements
  • Work closely with the client and clients’ partners to determine staffing needs by event
  • Act as a strategic liaison between management and employees, wielding decision-making authority to drive business and operational outcomes
  • Interview and train event staff
  • Participate in weekly client meetings to report out gaps and opportunities
  • Own event trackers and budgets
  • Lead the Field Operations Manager, offering guidance/support, and conducting performance management activities as needed
  • Partner closely with the Account Team to meet and exceed goals while improving the brand experience for customers
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Director, Client Service
