About The Position

The MESH Program Social Worker will provide individual counseling & mentoring, small group interventions, and general programming designed to promote social & emotional learning for Club youth. This role involves collaborating with Club families, staff & leadership, and community partners to provide trauma-responsive services. Additionally, the Social Worker will provide field supervision to student interns and build & maintain partnerships with community agencies, organizations, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Masters of Social Work Degree from an accredited college or university
• One-year experience required
• Commitment & compliance with the NASW Code of Ethics and Values
• Commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley mission & core values
• Ability to work both independently on projects and in a team setting
• Experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development strategies
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to support members, families, and staff in crisis or high priority situations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling & mentoring, small group interventions, and general programming designed to promote social & emotional learning for Club youth
• Collaborate with Club families, staff & leadership, and community partners to provide trauma-responsive services for all Club Youth
• Provide field supervision to student interns from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work and/or other universities
• Build & maintain partnerships with community agencies, organizations, and stakeholders
• Maintain up to date, organized and confidential documentation
• Assist program director with grant management tasks by maintaining accurate and timely reports, outcomes measures, photographs and other data as needed
• Assist in program needs assessments, evaluations, and proposal writing as needed
• Other duties as assigned
