Requirements

  • Hospitality-oriented
  • Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar role in a restaurant or bar in the hospitality industry.
  • Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish and English).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to restaurant standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
  • Serve food and beverage orders to all guests.
  • Complete designated cash register reports, resolve any discrepancies, and deliver receipts and cash payments.
  • Anticipate and communicate restocking needs.
  • Know the steps of service.
  • Secure liquors, beers, wines, refrigerators, cabinets, and storage areas.
  • Complete closing tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the service area and restaurant.
  • Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
  • Review assigned station before opening, ensuring the cleanliness of tables and chairs, and the correct table setup.
  • Have the necessary equipment to work: tray, pen, corkscrew, etc.
  • Know all menu items, their garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
  • Be prepared to answer guest questions about the menu accurately and concisely.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by the supervisor.
