About The Position

Join a dynamic development team as a MERN Developer, where you'll modernize and enhance critical cart and payment flows for a major retail platform. You will work on integrating area-specific business rules, improving legacy system compatibility, and delivering seamless shopping experiences for diverse product categories including Sporting Goods, Fuel, Puerto Rico, Service Desk, Electronics, Jewelry, GC, Cosmetics, and Pharmacy. This is a high-impact role with end-to-end ownership over discovery, design, development, testing, and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

Proven expertise in MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)
Strong experience in legacy system mapping and modernization
Proficient in functional, integration, and regression testing
Advanced JavaScript and RESTful API development
Skilled in technical documentation and stakeholder communication

Nice To Haves

Experience with retail cart/payment solutions
Automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha)
Familiarity with area-specific business logic in eCommerce
Exposure to cloud-based deployment environments

Responsibilities

Map legacy systems, analyze business rules, and drive discovery for new features and system enhancements
Design, update, and implement robust cart and payment solutions for multiple product and regional flows
Develop high-quality code and resolve defects to ensure stable, reliable functionality across the platform
Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing to validate business requirements and eliminate critical failures
Create and maintain clear documentation and ensure all technical and business requirements are well recorded
Validate metrics and participate in end-to-end solution signoff with stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with business, QA, and product teams to deliver validated, production-ready solutions
