About The Position

The Amynta Group is seeking an Associate to join our M&A team and play a key role in supporting the broader M&A team in its efforts to execute on the company’s acquisition objectives. The Associate will provide first-hand support to both the business unit leaders and executive management in the research and analysis of potential acquisition targets. As part of a lean team in a very flat corporate structure, the Associate will have exposure to and work closely with senior management, business unit leaders and functional heads across the entire organization. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter with strong follow-up skills and a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities. We value individuals who take initiative, demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, and are adept at consistently following through on deliverable. In this role, the Associate will play a crucial part in ensuring success by not only obtaining the requested data but also conducting a thorough and insightful review of the information to ensure that the data meets the requirements of the deal. Requirements

  • 3+ years industry experience (Analyst level 0-3)
  • Prior investment banking, accounting, transaction services or consulting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate and implement strategic initiatives for the firm
  • Open and flexible to changes in the organization and marketplace
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong attention to detail, is dependable and follows through
  • Ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
  • Ability to analyze data and present recommendations based on outcomes of analysis
  • High level of maturity to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Strong work ethic and excellent time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed financial operating models, valuation analyses and pro-forma analyses for potential acquisition targets
  • Gather and synthesize financial and operating information for target industries and companies
  • Research and develop prospect lists for targeted business lines, geographies, or industries
  • Monitor industry M&A trends and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of the business’s merger and acquisition activities
  • Develop marketing materials for use by the executive team and business unit leaders
  • Prepare presentations and other materials for both internal and external clients summarizing research findings, M&A analyses and competitive benchmarking results
  • Participate in prospect meetings, review metrics, and provide clear documentation of follow ups with prospective targets / internal stakeholders to ensure the completion of identified actions
  • Participate in the due diligence processes including coordinating with the legal, finance, tax, operations, IT, HR, and M&A integration departments to ensure seamless execution of merger and acquisition transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of, and provide input into, reports for management that summarize due diligence findings
  • Participate in the quality of earnings review of potential acquisition targets
  • Assist in the creation of investment committee materials and similar presentations for senior management to aid the decision-making process
