•Onsite

About The Position

The Mergers & Acquisitions Unit in the Supervision, Credit, and Learning Division processes regulatory filings and notifications for state member banks and holding companies involving mergers, acquisitions, changes in bank control, and de novo branches. The Analyst supports the Eighth District’s regulatory application review process, initially conducting base-level casework and developing foundational knowledge of applications filed with the Federal Reserve System. Over time, the Analyst independently manages filings from intake and acceptance through review, analysis, and final disposition. The role evaluates proposals against statutory factors and regulatory considerations, including the financial and managerial condition and prospects of applicant and target entities. The Analyst documents filing proposals, analyses, and recommendations; identifies concerns for timely escalation; and presents case summaries and updates to colleagues and stakeholders. The position involves frequent collaboration with internal teams, other regulatory agencies, applicants and their representatives, and Federal Reserve Board of Governors’ staff. The Analyst may also contribute to special projects and System-wide M&A workgroups. The position is based onsite at the St. Louis, Missouri office or a branch office in Little Rock, Arkansas; Louisville, Kentucky; or Memphis, Tennessee. It reports to a Manager.
