About The Position

Join 2020 Companies as a Merchant Brand Ambassador and play a key role in building retail partner relationships, increasing program visibility, and supporting business growth across your territory! This is a field-based role where you will visit local retailers and ensure they understand how to maximize the value of the program. You will serve as the face of the brand in the field building relationships, providing education, and ensuring a strong customer experience at each location. The role involves visiting retail locations within your assigned territory and engaging with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner. You will introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits, provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence. Additionally, you will place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store, document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems, and work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met. This is a field-based position with daily travel within your assigned territory, involving approximately 22-35 retail visits per day depending on geography and scheduling. It includes a mix of in-store engagement, driving, and administrative follow-up, with an independent work style supported by leadership and training teams.

Requirements

This position requires a personal vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment
Organized, reliable, and able to manage a daily route
Adaptable, professional, and customer-focused
High school diploma or equivalent experience required
Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience
Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
Reliable transportation within assigned territory

Responsibilities

Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner
Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits
Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence
Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store
Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems
Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met
Partner with the client to train and advocate client products at the retailer
Drive merchant awareness within your assigned territory
Maintain professional interaction with both merchants and fellow employees
Attempt to place point of purchase signage on exterior and/or interior of business
Advise merchants by providing information on products
Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays and merchant feedback
Travel to major markets and events for iconic launches to promote products
Contribute to team effort by assisting in launch-related activities, as needed
Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations
Ensure feedback reporting is submitted in timely manner
Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals
Meet or exceed weekly in store time goals
Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis
Effectively schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance
Effectively execute assigned activities inside each location during all visits
Effectively demonstrate an ability to establish and influence business relationships through merchant awareness, POP placement and consistent productivity
Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit
