About The Position

This position is in Cargill's Ag & Trading enterprise, where they connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. They also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions. The Merchant Assistant will provide administrative support to the trading desks. In this role, you will prepare routine reporting, commodity pricing, profit and loss estimates and other supporting duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
• Confirmed analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience

Nice To Haves

• Fresh university graduates or third year university students.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and cultivate established relationships with small accounts, customers, clients, suppliers and other business partners.
• Collaborate closely with various business partners, including supply chain and field team to achieve origination objectives.
• Prepare reports and conduct competitive analysis, such as, pricing sheets, regular origination reporting, reconciliation for positions, as well as profit and loss estimates.
• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
