About The Position

The Merchandising Specialist keeps the front sales floor and showroom stocked, fronted, clean, and professionally presented. The role includes preparing merchandise for sale, greeting customers, helping them locate merchandise or referring them to a parts specialist when they need hard parts, and supporting store inventory and merchandising activities. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, help them locate merchandise, or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise on the display floor fronted and full, and complete daily O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Change displays according to company guidelines, update planograms, change price labels, and ensure sale signs are displayed.
• Remove sale materials when a sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager to complete weekly store inventory and merchandising tasks.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate, subject to company driving eligibility requirements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
