About The Position

PrimeSource is seeking a Merchandising Specialist to service clients in the San Leandro, Emeryville, Vallejo, Concord, Union City, Colma, El Cerrito, Pittsburg, San Rafael, Oakland, Hercules, Brentwood, Daly City, and Martinez areas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working independently in the field and are looking for career development opportunities within the building materials industry. The company provides a 2022 Dodge Ram truck, an iPhone, company polo shirts, and a gas card. This is a full-time position with benefits and flexible start and end times, with no weekend work required.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
Must have experience in big box retail.
Must be able to work safely in a retail construction environment.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Exceptional interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Regularly.
Must be capable of moving merchandise up and down ladders.
Must live within the territory that you support.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Hardware and building material knowledge preferred.
Experience with big box retail merchandising.

Responsibilities

Service 2 to 3 stores a day within the assigned territory.
Work remotely and independently.
Merchandise fasteners (nails and screws) in assigned home improvement retail stores.
Down-stock products.
Install signage.
Maintain plan-o-gram layouts.
Price displays.
Train store employees on different fasteners.
Represent PrimeSource in the field.
Provide first-line customer service.
Maintain partnerships between customers and vendors.
