About The Position

The Merchandising Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective merchandising programs to help vendor partners promote brands and products. This role involves close collaboration with the Product Management team to ensure proper stock procurement and successful promotion programs. The manager will also cultivate strong vendor relationships, manage product merchandising for high-impact campaigns, and coordinate with the External Marketing team for program execution. Additionally, the role includes evaluating deals for external advertising, managing key tab or category stores, and addressing production and supply challenges. A key aspect is managing the process for vendor content on the Newegg Business website and staying informed about competitor strategies. The position aims to maximize income from MDF and other vendor incentives through innovative merchandising initiatives and effective selling, with responsibility for accurate tracking and utilization of MDF and Co-op accounts. The manager will also develop merchandising team reporting and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Merchandising or 8 years relevant experience
  • 3+ years of merchandising experience in an IT e-commerce environment, with experience dealing with major brand vendors
  • 1+ year of experience managing vendor P&L including MDF and Co-op accounts and utilization
  • Extensive knowledge of various e-commerce marketing opportunities as well traditional media
  • Understanding of Marketing Principles and Retailing
  • Ability to build relationships and maintain strong partnerships
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Detail and result oriented with sense of urgency
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and coordination skills
  • Team-oriented and able to work in cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective merchandising programs to help vendor partners promote brands and products.
  • Work with Product Management team to ensure and plan proper procurement of product stock as it relates to merchandising programs and goals and to produce successful promotion programs.
  • Develop top-level vendor relationships to facilitate and reinforce partnerships.
  • Manage Product Merchandising on high impact campaigns (i.e. managing daily deals or similar type of exposures).
  • Coordinate with External Marketing team to execute merchandising programs.
  • Evaluate and identify deals for external advertising.
  • Manage key tab or category stores.
  • Identify and handle production and supply difficulties.
  • Manage process for supplying and managing vendor content on Newegg Business website.
  • Review key competitor site on a daily basis and use info to more competently merchandise company website and marketing vehicles.
  • Maximize income of MDF and other vendor incentives through innovative merchandising program initiatives and effective selling.
  • Responsible for accurate tracking and utilization of MDF and Co-op accounts for assigned vendors; increase participation and funding levels for all assigned vendors equal to or greater than company forecasts.
  • Develop and implement merchandising team reporting such as performance measurement reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
