Requirements

  • Role is based in San Francisco, California, with a 3 days per week in-office requirement
  • 5–10 years of retail merchandising experience, ideally within Eyewear, optical, or prescription lens categories; luxury expertise preferred
  • Working knowledge of prescription lens technology, optical fulfillment, and frame construction strongly preferred
  • E-commerce and/or DTC experience preferred
  • Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
  • Product obsessed, with experience leveraging data tools and external sources
  • Critical eye to anticipate customer needs (both the "science" and "art" of retail merchandising)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes, and brand enhancement
  • Continuous learner and highly curious; open to new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Scale the Eyewear business by adding to, refining, and improving the assortment across frames and prescription lens offerings
  • Own the prescription lens strategy — lens types (single vision, progressive, blue-light, readers), coatings, materials, and index options — and identify the right expansion opportunities to set the business up for long-term growth
  • Work closely with product development, sourcing, and technical design to develop and improve frames and lens quality, and to ensure a seamless Rx fulfillment experience for the customer
  • Partner with vendors and optical labs to deliver on quality, price, and prescription accuracy
  • Partner with planning, site merchandising, and marketing to grow the business
  • Obsess about every aspect of our products (fit, quality, lens performance, price) to deliver for the customer
  • Help drive the business forward to meet sales targets, customer ratings/return rates, and improved margins

Benefits

  • Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.
