About The Position

Supports merchandising and category management by overseeing communication and project coordination processes. Communicates with vendors, suppliers, and partners, while serving as liaison to multiple departments to streamline merchandising efforts.

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
  • High school Diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

  • Associates Degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates communications regarding merchandising projects with store management, retail merchandisers, and vendors, including Center Store full and partial reset communications and CM DSD project communications.
  • Coordinates special projects and events to meet short-term needs and long-term objectives.
  • Verifies receipts and codes for retail merchandising and center store teams’ purchase card transactions.
  • Monitors equipment needs for store projects.
  • Manages weekly, quarterly, and annual reports for the department.
  • Orders merchandising equipment used for store resets and other projects.
  • Processes billing invoices for approval related to store reset equipment needs.
  • Updates and maintains department lists, calendars, and store reset project letters.
  • Maintains vendor contact lists for reset communications.
  • Coordinates hotel reservations for merchandising teams supporting special projects as needed.
  • Serves as a liaison to align department objectives with other areas of the company.
