About The Position

Sierra at TJX Companies is seeking a Full Time Merchandising Coordinator. This role is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing by Associates, and fostering a positive customer experience. The Merchandising Coordinator will create a positive internal and external customer experience, promote a culture of honesty and integrity, and orchestrate truck delivery while prioritizing merchandise processing onto the sales floor. They will train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles, ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and communicate with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow of goods. The role involves ensuring Associates complete tasks according to the store plan, monitoring team productivity, coaching as necessary, and organizing back stock for easy replenishment. Maintaining merchandising philosophy, signage standards, and organizational/cleanliness standards for the backroom are key responsibilities. The position also ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, communicates effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress, and provides/accepts feedback. Partnering with management on Associate training needs and ensuring adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures are also part of the role. Additionally, the Merchandising Coordinator will promote credit and loyalty programs, support store shrink reduction goals, and promote safety awareness.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Executing receiving and merchandising standards
Ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team
Creating a positive internal and external customer experience
Orchestrating truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
Training and mentoring Associates on established merchandising and processing principles
Ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
Communicating with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
Ensuring Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizing as needed
Monitoring productivity of team and coaching as necessary
Organizing and rotating back stock for easy replenishment
Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards
Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area
Ensuring compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs
Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; providing progress updates
Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
Partnering with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
Ensuring adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Promoting credit and loyalty programs
Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Promoting safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
Other duties as assigned
