About The Position

The Temporary Merchandising Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Responsibilities include customer service, ringing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing and merchandising products, store recovery and cleanliness, supporting shrink reduction and safety programs, and following company policies and labor laws. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
