About The Position

The Home Depot is seeking Merchandising Execution Associates (MEAs) to perform in-store merchandising service activities. These activities include merchandising projects, planogram maintenance, overhead organization, and display/signage maintenance, all aimed at enhancing the customer experience. MEAs are responsible for executing merchandising strategies and ensuring products are displayed correctly to drive sales and maximize inventory turns. Working in teams with on-site supervision, MEAs provide service to multiple departments within the stores. They execute approved general bay service, tasking, projects, and resets safely, accurately, and efficiently. Building and maintaining strong relationships with store associates and providing superior customer service to both internal and external customers are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Execute merchandising projects, planogram maintenance, overhead organization, and display/signage maintenance.
  • Ensure product is displayed correctly according to merchandising strategies to drive sales and maximize inventory turns.
  • Execute approved general bay service, tasking, projects, and resets safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store associates.
  • Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Read and interpret directions to ensure merchandise is set to the planogram, project instructions, program service requirements, and general service guidelines.
  • Straighten, clean, and merchandise product to ensure it is presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Maintain a copy of the most recent planogram inside the upright beam adjacent to the product set.
  • Build displays and fixtures using basic hand tools.
  • Maintain, order, and install display material/signage/brochures.
  • Follow directions and processes to conduct accurate price and label changes.
  • Replace incorrect, damaged, or missing price labels.
  • Maintain aisle cleanliness so that merchandise is accessible and customers can move throughout the aisles easily.
  • Utilize store systems to access key merchandising reports and execute action based on findings.
  • Maintain bay service records and other documentation as directed.
  • Execute one-off projects as required by store, district, and regional leadership.
  • Partner with store leadership to markdown all damaged or un-sellable merchandise.
  • Answer customer questions regarding the store and products.
  • Partner with store associates to find necessary products to fit customer needs.
  • Partner with store representative to conduct inspections of returned and damaged items for Return to Vendor.
  • Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Complete assigned training curriculum.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
