The Merchandising Assistant Store Manager at Lowe's is responsible for delivering quality customer service and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked store. This role involves anticipating customer flow and work demand, redirecting efforts and schedules for proper coverage, and planning for sales spikes to ensure adequate in-stock positions. The Assistant Store Manager also conducts safety walks, monitors power equipment use, and coaches associates on safe work practices. They lead a team to ensure exceptional customer service and are accountable for achieving sales and margin goals, driving operational efficiencies, and maximizing customer satisfaction. At times, this role provides full leadership over the store and collaborates with the store leadership team, District Manager, and Area support staff to meet service, sales, and operational objectives. The individual may also rotate through Specialty and Operations assignments for cross-training and development.
