As a Merchandise Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree, you will collaborate with the Store Manager to lead a team of associates and enhance customer experiences within the community. Your primary focus will be on merchandising activities and efficient freight processing. This role encompasses a broad range of store operations, including assisting with daily functions, performing opening and closing procedures, and safeguarding company assets like store cash. You are expected to strictly adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines. Key responsibilities also involve maintaining the store's stockroom and sales floor to company standards, executing corporate directives such as 'Pull and Hold/Destroy' and 'Task Compliance', and responding to information requests. A significant part of the role is ensuring the overall cleanliness of the store, which includes cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal, to maintain a neat and presentable environment. Furthermore, you are responsible for fostering a positive, safe, and respectful atmosphere through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leadership. Under the guidance of the Store Manager, you will also manage the receipt and return of DSD merchandise, optimize freight flow according to productivity standards, and oversee the ordering and stocking of various merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items. Strategic planning and implementation of monthly Sales Planners, along with merchandising and maintaining Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items, are also part of your duties to ensure a sales-effective floor.
