About The Position

As a Merchandising Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree, you will join the Store Manager in leading a team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities the store serves. The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight, while supporting store operations and assisting the Store Manager with assigned duties. This is a full-time position at 230 McCarter Road, Fountain Inn, South Carolina 29644. The position includes helping maintain company standards, safety, cleanliness, and a positive environment for customers and associates. Requirements

Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience is preferred.
Prior management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Maintain the stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
Process corporate directives and communications, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
Promote a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist the Store Manager with processing the receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards.
Order and stock merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated items, in accordance with productivity standards.
Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
