As a Merchandising Assistant, you are responsible for supporting the Merchandising Team with the implementation of billings, cost changes, customer support, and data integrity review. This role involves coordinating customer contracts by monitoring all outbound costs to customers, working with the manufacturing community to ensure up-to-date and competitive pricing, managing regional brackets and exceptions, and coordinating future price increases and decreases. The assistant will ensure the team processes all upcoming deals, off invoices, and customized pricing, maintaining data integrity. They will monitor weekly billings, including flyers, bottle deposits, and customized p-deals, as well as billings impacting the gross profit budget line. The role also includes monitoring and communicating incorrect item and vendor attributes, ensuring high data quality for seamless order processing with vendors, and monitoring various attributes to ensure proper product flow. Daily customer communication is required, along with overseeing associate tracking spreadsheets for new item progress. A key responsibility is reviewing cost compare reports to identify pricing variances with customers and running sales reports to validate credits or rebills. Understanding and validating cost mismatches between C&S and customers is essential. The position supports at least one merchandiser with weekly tasks, including gross profit management and the generation of merchandising and marketing plans for the East Coast independent base.
