About The Position

The Merchandiser presents products to attract consumers at customer retail locations and services and maintains multiple bulk accounts. The role involves merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following quality guidelines, plan sets, and planograms. The Merchandiser also communicates with store management and cross-functional personnel. The role serves locations in Bethesda, Gaithersburg, and Chevy Chase, Maryland. The schedule is Thursday through Monday, and the listed pay range is $200.00–$208.65 daily, depending on experience.

Requirements

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including repeatedly lifting 50 pounds.
Ability to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.
Critical-thinking skills.
Valid in-state driver’s license.
Excellent driving history.
Proof of an insurance policy verifying current liability and property-damage coverage of at least $50,000 per person/$100,000 per accident/$50,000 property damage, with a deductible of $500 or less, effective from the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on displays and shelves according to procedures and special programs.
Move products from the backroom and place them on display.
Create and distribute point-of-sale materials where permitted; fill and merchandise Fastlane merchandisers and vendors, and check vendors for proper operation.
Organize and maintain the back room by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor, and arranging the return of empty pallets and shells, damaged products, and out-of-date products to the branch.
Build business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests and discussions about proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities.
