About The Position

Merchandisers are responsible for everything that happens to a product from the moment it is delivered to the store to the moment a shopper picks it up off the shelf. This may include: performing stockouts, organizing the shelf, setting up displays, and setting up price and promotional signs. This helps our company to optimize sales & profits by ensuring stores are stocked with the correct products in the correct quantities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced work environment
  • Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
  • Ability to enter walk-in refrigerator/freezer
  • Ability to regularly stand/walk for prolonged periods of time as well as frequently reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, crouch, crawl and climb stairs
  • Ability to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP Logistics/Material Management and Microsoft Excel preferred
  • SeaWorld experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks required to maintain accurate perpetual inventory
  • Works to stock & visually merchandise all Retail locations
  • Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
  • Comply with all company policies and best-practices.
  • Perform tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Execute authorized tasks and transactions (goods movements, queries, etc.) using SEA applications such as SAP (SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment’s ERP System), SAMMS (Sourcing and Materials Management System), etc.
  • Uses Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Analyze and processes inventory documents such as transfers, proof of delivery (POD), pick tickets, etc.
  • Monitor inventory: analyze movements; identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies; conduct physical counts as needed; assist with cycle counts; coordinate depletion, replacement, and instatement of materials
  • Effectively communicates with internal guests (leadership, Requisitioners from other departments, etc.) and external guests (Delivery Drivers, Vendor Reps, etc.).
  • Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed
  • Ability to work 4 days, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Other duties as assigned
