About The Position

This is a part-time Merchandiser position responsible for building and maintaining off-premise product displays, ensuring appearance and product rotation. The role involves working under the supervision of Field Supervisors and Sales Personnel. Key responsibilities include greeting store owners/managers, signing in at accounts, displaying merchandise to meet customer needs, organizing shelves for product rotation, managing customer back rooms, taking inventory, and communicating with sales representatives about stock levels and new programs. The merchandiser will also assist with resets, work collaboratively with delivery drivers and sales representatives, maintain current and themed Point-of-Sale (POS) materials, and adhere to all sales manual standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and access to a motor vehicle that has the capacity to transport POS during all working hours to be able to travel to multiple work locations as directed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to read labels and comprehend various coding systems.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 250 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining off-premise product displays, including appearance and rotation.
  • Greeting store owner or manager for any specific merchandising instructions.
  • Signing in at accounts where required.
  • Displaying merchandise that meets customer's needs, and emphasizing selling points of article such as quality and utility.
  • Placing new merchandise on display.
  • Organizing shelves and displays to promote first-in/first out rotation of product.
  • Organizing customers back room.
  • Taking inventory of stock and reporting low volume and out of stock situations to Sales Personnel.
  • Assisting with resets as needed.
  • Working as a team with delivery drivers and sales representatives to provide the best possible customer service to our clients.
  • Communicating daily with Sales Representatives to address issues; such as, discrepancies, new programs and items, and out-of-stock.
  • Maintaining current and themed P.O.S. to ensure maximum account coverage.
  • Adhering to all standards in sales manual including but not limited to: product rotation, maintaining POS, organizing inventory and reporting what is needed, facing off cooler, etc.
