About The Position

With over 4,000 employees and distribution across several states, Franz is seeking a Part Time Merchandiser for its fast-paced team in Portland, OR. This role is crucial for ensuring customers have the best products on their shelves. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safe, highly organized, and possess strong communication skills.

Requirements

Part-time position requiring availability between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends, including Sundays, Wednesdays, and Holidays.
A solid work history.
1+ years of experience in a similar merchandising position.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and perform frequent to constant handling activities.
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, math test, physical, and physical capacity test.
A clean driving record and provision of a current driving abstract from the department of licensing if called for an interview.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and maneuver large, bulky racks of product.
Must be highly organized, fast-paced, and able to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the organization.
Proven work history of being reliable, safe, and positive.
Must uphold the Franz core values.
This is a union position with Teamsters Local 305.

Experience in the bread/bakery/food industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintaining bakery products in assigned stores, including stocking shelves, rotating outdated products, facing products for consumer appeal, and ensuring a neat appearance of all assigned bakery products.
Driving a company vehicle to deliver product to customer locations.
Loading and unloading product in a company-issued vehicle, which includes pushing/pulling racks and trays of bakery products.
Performing additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
