This role involves displaying beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and on the sales floor of retail stores. The Merchandiser will arrange products according to a prearranged plan or their own ideas approved by management, place price and descriptive signs, and transfer product from customer stock rooms to floor displays to comply with 'Sell By' dates, maximize product in store, and minimize product in the stock room. They will also order product for assigned accounts to ensure no out-of-stock conditions, originate display ideas or follow suggestions, and communicate effectively daily with key store personnel on any service or product needs. Additionally, the role involves constructing or assembling display aids from company-provided Point of Sale (POS) materials. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must meet company driver qualifications.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to perform basic functions of math in all units of measure and formats and to interpret rate, ratio, percent, and graphs.
Some states require employees to be 21 years of age or older when promoting, merchandising and delivering alcoholic beverages.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Orders product for assigned accounts in accordance with established procedures to ensure no out-of-stocks conditions.
Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
Communicate effectively daily with key store personnel on any service or product needs.
Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.
