About The Position

Blue Ridge Beverage Company is hiring a full-time Merchandiser to support its sales and delivery teams at retail stores throughout Central and Southwest Virginia. The main responsibility of the job is to make sure products are properly stocked, rotated, priced, and displayed in stores. Merchandisers will work closely with sales and delivery teams to keep accounts organized and make sure customers receive quality service.

Requirements

2 years of general employment experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that consistently requires a sense of urgency.
Demonstrated basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to work and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
Proficient in technology.
Strong interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver license with excellent driving record.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen that includes THC.
Frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and sitting.
Fine finger and hand manipulation.
Speaking clearly.
Hearing so as to be able to maintain conversation.
Seeing so as to be able to read and to drive a vehicle.
Lifting, moving and carrying up to 25 lbs.
Frequently lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 lbs.
Must be able to work in varying temperatures as assignments may involve working in a cooler.

Nice To Haves

Experience in customer service, merchandising, or other sales-related positions preferred.

Responsibilities

Check deliveries at assigned stores and make sure orders are correct.
Stock coolers and shelves while rotating products by expiration or code dates.
Build and maintain product displays and promotional setups.
Make sure prices, signs, and marketing materials are accurate and visible.
Remove damaged or expired products and return usable products to the shelves when possible.
Follow assigned routes and store service schedules.
Communicate with managers and sales/delivery teams about customer needs, problems, and opportunities.
Maintain company standards for product quality, rotation, and account service.
Work professionally and respectfully with coworkers, managers, and retail customers.
Be dependable, organized, flexible, and willing to work early mornings or nights when needed.
