About The Position

Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service, Inc. is a family-owned, full-service beverage distributor servicing 21 counties in New York State, employing upwards of 250 stakeholders. We are currently hiring for a Beverage Merchandiser in the Ithaca/Cortland area. This role offers opportunities for growth, with many merchandisers progressing to Sales Relief and then Sales Consultant positions. The schedule involves four 10-hour shifts, including required weekend work. Saratoga Eagle provides a cell phone allowance, uniforms, and mileage reimbursement. Requirements

• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation throughout work day.
• Excellent communication skills and people skills in order to be able to respond to any situation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of database software; Internet software.

Responsibilities

• Greets store owner or manager to review specific instructions.
• Displays merchandise that meets customer’s needs, and emphasizes selling points of article such as quality.
• Places new merchandise on display based on instruction from the salesman.
• Organizes customer’s back room.
• Repackages any damaged packages and replaces them on the shelf or cooler for the customer.
• Monitors and updates shelf tags.
• Takes inventory of stock and reports low volumes and out-of-stock situations.
• Assists with resets as needed.
• Maintains current and themed P.O.S. to ensure maximum account coverage.
• Adheres to all standards in sales manual (rotation etc).
• Checks voicemail 3 to 4 times daily and communicates with drivers and salesmen on a regular basis.
