About The Position

The Merchandiser is responsible for rotating, pricing, restocking, merchandising, and building displays in assigned accounts. This role involves establishing positive relationships with retailers, acting as a partner and consultant to help increase sales of all company products through effective merchandising concepts. The Merchandiser ensures that all assigned accounts are maintained to company standards, including proper product rotation, pricing, and display building. They also work closely with sales personnel and drivers to ensure coordination of merchandising activities and communicate any market changes or out-of-stock issues to management.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver License.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability required for the job.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate, price, restock, merchandise, and build displays in assigned accounts.
  • Establish positive relationships with assigned retailers as a partner/consultant.
  • Ensure requisite pricing is reflected and all labels are faced.
  • Maintain back stock in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Work closely with Sales Personnel to ensure proper rotation of all products.
  • Work breakage in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Build effective, striking displays in the primary position on all retail ad features and promotional packages with appropriate point of sale.
  • Safely handle all empties, pallets and unsold product to prevent damage.
  • Return all empty pallets to the warehouse by employing proper accounting procedures.
  • Achieve and maintain out-of-stock levels at zero.
  • Develop working relationships with decision-makers in all assigned accounts.
  • Offer suggestions for increasing sales through merchandising concepts.
  • Communicate daily with other members of the sales team to ensure coordination of merchandising activity.
  • Inform Merchandising Manager immediately of any competitive activity in the market.
  • Inform the appropriate Sales Personnel of any out-of-stock or potential out-of-stock issues.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with the owners, managers, and employees of all assigned accounts.
  • Account for daily activities through merchandising pads, notes, and the time clock.
  • Maintain and submit all required reports in a timely manner.
  • Report immediately to your supervisor any scheduled merchandising stops that will not be made.
  • Contact the Merchandising Manager for additional assignments after completing all scheduled stops.
  • Maintain a clean, organized Company vehicle inside and out.
  • Follow all maintenance and service instructions for the vehicle and promptly report any problems/damage.
  • Work within established scheduled time parameters.
  • Be consistently available to perform assigned job functions.
  • Ensure all time worked is properly and accurately recorded.
  • Maintain open and clear communications with company employees.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
