About The Position
Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Merchandiser to support its sales and delivery teams at retail accounts. The role focuses on product rotation and pricing, executing promotional programs such as display building, and meeting merchandising standards. The position serves the Jonesville, Weber City, and Big Stone Gap market, with the listed job location in Abingdon, Virginia. The listed hourly salary range is $18.00–$20.00. The job involves following assigned service schedules and routes, maintaining quality control and company stock rotation and exchange procedures, and communicating account needs and issues to teams and management. The physical requirements include frequent movement and handling of products, including lifting heavy items, and working in varying temperatures, including coolers.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of general employment experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that consistently requires a sense of urgency.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in technology.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen that includes THC.
- Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including frequently bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and sitting; fine finger and hand manipulation; speaking clearly; hearing conversation; seeing to read and drive; lifting, moving, and carrying up to 25 lbs.; frequently lifting and/or moving more than 50 lbs.; and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 150 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including in a cooler.

Responsibilities
- Communicate with sales and delivery teams regarding retail account issues.
- Verify delivery accuracy and stock shelves and coolers using proper product rotation.
- Build displays and maintain accurate pricing and marketing materials.
- Remove damaged or expired products and repair resalable items when possible.
- Follow assigned service schedules and routes.
- Communicate customer needs, account progress, opportunities, and issues to management.
- Maintain quality control standards and follow company stock rotation and exchange procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
