About The Position

The Field Merchandiser on the CA Coast is a FULL-TIME position servicing the area from Paso Robles to North Santa Barbara/Buellton. This role involves verifying customer orders against invoices, pricing, rotating, and stocking items from pre-loaded totes. The merchandiser ensures products are rotated to maximize shelf life and maintains clean and organized displays. This position requires communication with Sales Representatives or Regional Managers, building relationships with store personnel, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Key tasks include verifying product quantity and quality, and dating frozen items/pricing items as needed.

Requirements

Insurance and Driver license required. Vehicle Insurance coverage amount: $100,000 per occurrence Property Damage $300,000 per occurrence Bodily Injury Required
Personal vehicle to use. (reliable) Required
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external contacts.
Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach repetitively.
Stability in past employment.
HS Diploma.
Must be able to read/write English successfully both in writing and with computer/Email skills.
Driver's License required in good standing.
All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment background, drug screen and MVR report.

Nice To Haves

Two years merchandiser experience is strongly preferred in a field sales support role or high volume retail.

Responsibilities

Verify that customers received everything they ordered off the invoice.
Price, rotate, and stock items from pre-loaded totes.
Rotate all products to ensure the customer gets the extended length of product shelf life.
Clean and arrange the displays and shelves, as needed.
Communicate with Sales Representative or Regional Manager regarding sales issues/objectives.
Develop a relationship with store managers and employees.
Be a courteous and responsible driver at all times.
Maintain a sanitary and safe work environment.
Report any issues to their manager.
Verify quantity and quality of each product.
Date all frozen items/price all items unless store does not call for it.
