About The Position

The Merchandiser is responsible for supporting store operations, merchandising execution, and overall store presentation across multiple company locations. This position works directly with Market Area Supervisors to identify opportunities, improve store conditions, execute merchandising plans, and ensure company standards are consistently maintained. This is a multi-store support position and is not assigned to a single location. Store assignments, projects, and daily responsibilities will be determined by company leadership based on operational needs and business priorities. The Merchandiser will assist with merchandising, store recovery, planogram execution, display building, operational audits, and special projects while providing leadership with updates through text communication and photographs. Responsibilities may vary from store to store based on business needs. This position is designed to develop future leadership talent within the company. Individuals who demonstrate strong performance, initiative, and leadership ability may be considered for advancement opportunities, including Store Management positions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the organization.
  • A reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance are required.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve promotional displays, endcaps, and merchandise presentations.
  • Execute merchandising plans, planogram updates, resets, and seasonal changes.
  • Ensure products are properly stocked, faced, signed, and displayed according to company standards.
  • Assist stores in maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-ready shopping environment.
  • Verify pricing, signage, and promotional execution throughout the store.
  • Travel between assigned store locations as directed by leadership.
  • Assist stores with operational priorities based on current business needs.
  • Support department managers and store management teams with assigned projects and tasks.
  • Assist with store recovery efforts, inventory presentation, and sales floor execution.
  • Perform special assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
  • Conduct store walks to evaluate overall store conditions and execution.
  • Identify opportunities related to merchandising, cleanliness, customer experience, and operational standards.
  • Provide timely updates, reports, and observations to leadership through text messages, photographs, and verbal communication.
  • Follow up on assigned tasks and verify completion of corrective actions.
  • Gain knowledge of store operations, merchandising strategies, inventory control, labor management, and customer service standards.
  • Assist with operational problem-solving and execution of company initiatives.
  • Participate in training opportunities designed to prepare qualified individuals for future leadership and Store Management positions.
  • The individual may be assigned to different store locations on a daily or weekly basis and may be required to support various departments and operational functions as needed.
  • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, merchandising, store recovery, planogram execution, inventory presentation, display building, operational audits, training support, and other projects assigned by leadership.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities, travel between locations, and effectively support multiple stores is an essential function of this position.
