About The Position

The merchandiser will be an integral member of the field sales team. With nearby support branch support, this individual will promote our brands and product lines by visiting kitchen and bath (K&B) showrooms, Fabricators, and design studios in the designated region. With Corporate support, they would be responsible for the Company's promotional and sales/marketing efforts in the region.

Requirements

  • Exceptional organization and planning skills
  • Energetic and confident in engaging with business owners and staff
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to occasionally work extended hours on the weekend
  • Must be over 21 yrs. of age
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Must be able to handle heavy lifting, loading and unloading displays up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sales, customer service or other people-oriented fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Engage business owners & other key decision makers through friendly, consistent and professional communications.
  • Qualify and evaluate potential showrooms for UMI displays and marketing efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for CR to improve the consumer experience in the marketplace.
  • Regularly conduct product informational updates, educating retail sales partners and fabricators about CR and our lines of products.
  • Obtain a better understanding of their business needs and potential sales opportunities for CR during visits/discussions.
  • Evaluate and categorize all customers assigned to your region, using existing sales “intel” report to collect all information CR requires for better serve our clients and improve sales performance.
  • Maintain accurate information about the customer, address, email addresses of all members of the clients’ team and updating the information into our Inventory system.
  • Ensure all displays are in order, clean and with all samples in place during visits.
  • Place an order when samples are missing from our displays.
  • Make sure all marketing collateral are in place, including window decals, location cards, catalogs, updated price lists when applicable and any other marketing initiative.
  • Merchandisers will be part of the internal staff as needed and will be part of the schedule rotating Saturday.
  • Support distribution centers in their region.
