About The Position

Wright Beverage Distributing is seeking a Merchandiser to join their team, offering training, development, and growth opportunities, along with an excellent benefits package including best-in-class health insurance. The role involves various qualitative tasks such as filling coolers, building displays, utilizing supplier rebates, organizing inventory, monitoring product code dates, and reporting issues to supervisors. Planning and strategy development responsibilities include maintaining priorities defined by the Sales Rep/Supervisor and collaborating to establish specific objectives for assigned routes.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills with ability to problem solve.
Must hold a valid, clean NYS driver’s license that is acceptable to our insurance carrier and Wright Beverage Distributing requirements, with reliable transportation.
Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to drive for short or long periods of time.
Expected to represent brands across all Wright Beverage Distributing territories.
Must be comfortable interacting with retail accounts.
Exposed to all weather conditions due to amount of travel associated with position.
Ability to drive to branch locations on regular basis as required.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

Follow and maintain WBD Retail and Quality standards.
Adhere to Merchandiser Steps for Success.
Consistently demonstrates WBD core values.
Fill coolers, shelves and displays with WBD products.
Build and maintain displays.
Utilize supplier rebates and designated point of sale/signage.
Organize back room inventory.
Monitor all code dates in stores, pull close dated or out of code product off shelves for pick-up at next scheduled delivery.
Report back to supervisor and/or sales rep any problems or potential opportunities that may arise during the day.
Check in and out with Account Manager at each visit.
Ensure the appropriate priorities are maintained as defined by the Sales Rep/Supervisor and any direction that is given.
Work with Sales Rep/Supervisor to establish specific objectives and expectations for each assigned route.
