Merchandise Operations Associate
About The Position
The Merchandise Operations Associate supports daily merchandise operations under the leadership of and reporting to the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager. The role includes processing inbound merchandise, placing and maintaining merchandise on the selling floor, and fulfilling customer orders. The associate follows merchandising and visual standards, provides customer service, and may assist with additional store projects and other ad hoc responsibilities. The position requires physical handling of merchandise, use of computers and store technology, and schedule flexibility based on business needs.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and handle merchandise racks and carts.
- Ability to maintain merchandising standards on the floor in compliance with Visual standards.
- Computer skills and ability to use available technology, including RF guns, PC, iOS devices, Excel, Word, and proprietary platforms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as needed in accordance with applicable state driver's license standards at select locations.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound merchandise and place and present merchandise on the selling floor.
- Follow direction to maintain merchandise placement and presentation standards.
- Assist with store projects as needed, including replenishing merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery, and supply replenishment.
- Locate requested merchandise in the store and complete customer orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer needs.
- Complete ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
- Evaluate progress against key performance drivers and assess organizational opportunities and risks.
- Drive positive outcomes through objectives and measures while monitoring progress and results.
- Generate and share original ideas to address simple and complex problems.
