About The Position

The Merchandise Manager drives merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards. This role ensures accurate pricing, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready store environment through strong workload planning and inventory management. The role assists the Store Manager in leading adherence to company procedures and programs, provides Manager-on-Duty coverage, and leads merchandise flow, inventory control, merchandising, fulfillment, and team development. The position requires 3+ years of retail leadership experience and includes work in a fast-paced store environment with frequent customer interactions. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Requirements

At least 3 years of retail leadership experience.
Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 25–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to climb ladders or step stools to stock and retrieve products.
Ability to perform repetitive motions, including scanning items, stocking shelves, and operating POS equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in leading adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and company programs, including compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding the team accountable for store conditions and results.
Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
Lead truck execution, including timely unloading, accurate sorting, and efficient movement of merchandise to the sales floor.
Plan workloads and prioritize daily tasks, partnering with store leadership to align staffing and execution with business needs.
Execute and maintain SISO (Store-In-Stock Optimization) routines to improve in-stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and sales readiness.
Oversee Planogram execution, ensuring merchandising sets are completed accurately and on schedule.
Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards, including product placement and presentation.
Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store, including backroom organization and sales floor recovery.
Manage inventory control, product accuracy, inventory integrity, and efficient stock movement.
Execute promotional ad sets, including compliant signage and customer-focused product placement.
Complete price changes accurately and on time, maintaining pricing integrity across the sales floor and systems.
Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently and accurately.
Process RTVs (Return to Vendor) and ASN receiving, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and appropriate inventory adjustments.
Manage store damage procedures, including proper handling and reporting to reduce shrink.
Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building across assigned departments.
Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices through awareness, compliance, and safe operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
