About The Position

This is a full-time promotional opportunity, open to internal and external recruitment, located in the Merchandise Department. The role involves variable/flexible working hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as required. Benefits are provided after a successful sixty (60) day introductory period. The position requires assisting with training and motivating merchandise associates, maintaining the appearance of gift shops, performing associate duties, acting as a role model, providing guest relations, and assisting associates with problems as requested, referring them as appropriate. Other duties may be assigned.

Must have demonstrated leadership skills
ability to cope with extremely heavy workload
excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the telephone are essential
ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision
excellent attention to detail
ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
ability to deal successfully with a wide range of people
ability to work under pressure of deadlines and competing needs
ability to handle money
a merchandise background with some knowledge of merchandising mathematics
mark up’s and pricing
knowledge of cash registers
